Hey all! Welcome! Thanks so much for stopping!
First of all, let me tell you what this blog is NOT. This blog is NOT a collection of recipes. That’s a cookbook….that’s not what I’m trying to accomplish with this thing I spend so much time on each week. Sure, you’ll find an assortment of tasty dishes and treats I hope you will consider trying, but you’ll also get a glimpse into the life of a suburban girl turned country guy’s wife. If you dont’ care for commentary, I suggest you move along…
Sorry, the truth hurts.
To me, food and life are so intertwined, they simply can’t be separated. Food brings back happy memories, keeps the spirit of those who have passed alive, and starts new traditions. Inside this blog, you’ll find the real stories behind the food I make and you’ll learn a little about me in the process.
Again, I hope you like what you see. Thanks so much for dropping in! I hope you’ll take off your coat and stay awhile. Don’t worry…I’ll fix ya something to eat!

Hi — I wanted to let you know about an event I am starting on my blog From the French Kitchen (thefrenchkitchen.wordpress.com). I’ll be “touring” other food and cooking blogs, interviewing the blogger, and making 3 to 4 of your favorite recipes from your blog. I hope you’ll take a look at the information and submit a form to be considered for a “stop” on the tour! Tour Information: tourblogsadmin.wordpress.com
Thanks!

Hi, Erin,
I saw your mom last night for dinner and she mentioned that you have this blog. I had to check it out. And, of course, it is totally awesome! I’m very impressed with your writing and, most definitely, your cooking abilities. Would you say your mom or your dad was your biggest influence for taking up cooking? Or do you have another mentor? This is so wonderful. Keep up the great work!
